Jim was the Assistant Director of the ARC from 1969 to 1977. In 1977 he was part of the ARC group that went to Tymshare; in 1985, when Tymshare was acquired by McDonnell Douglas, he became a manager and then consultant at Douglas. From 1991 to 1997 he worked in Huntsville, Alabama as a systems analyst and project manager.
