I worked at SRI under Engelbart from '69 to '75
'69-70: software developer on SDS 940 and beginings of Tenex version
'71-75: Chief software architect for NLS, under Dick Watson's management.
Worked on most all parts of the Tenex version of NLS, including adding our windowing system to Tenex proper.
After I left Doug's group in '75 I joined Xerox at PARC to lead the Star effort's user functionality and user interface design. In 1982, I left with Liddle, et al, to found Metaphor Computer Systems, where I lead the product development efforts until my departure in 1993. At that time I joined General Magic as the EVP of Products for two years. After that I joined SGI in various executive capacities until my retirement in 1997. Since then, I have enjoyed gardening, home improvement projects, and travel with my wife of 35 years.
